WHY ARE INDIVIDUAL ESD CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS NEEDED?
Electronic industry losses due
to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) are estimated in excess
of $90 Billion USD. As devices become smaller, faster
and more sensitive to ESD its impact on quality, productivity,
reliability, warranty costs and profitability is growing
to significant levels. ESD has become an important part
of the manufacturing process to the extent that major
multinational OEM companies, device manufacturers, government
and military agencies require compliance or facility
certification to international ESD Control Program standards.
SH&A CERTIFIED ESD SPECIALISTSM
PROGRAM
Knowledgeable companies use
ANSI/ESD S20.20 or IEC 61340-5-1 as a basis for their

ESD SPECIALIST PROGRAMS
The SH&A Certified ESD SpecialistSM
Programs prepare industry to meet the handling challenges
of ultra ESD sensitive electronic devices that will
be commercialized over the next 3 years. SH&A’s
highly effective training curriculum provide the skills
and information necessary to meet these challenges today.
